Hal Brierley

Hal Brierley is Chairman of The Brierley Group, LLC, having served as Chief Loyalty Architect for Brierley & Partners for the past thirty years. He began his entrepreneurial career as co-founder of Epsilon Data Management, a pioneer in database marketing.

Hal serves the Dallas Zoo in the shadow of his loving spouse, Diane, a long standing Dallas Zoo Board member, former Co-Chair of the Dallas Zoo’s Capital Campaign, and Co-Chair of the 2000 Zoo To Do. Together, they have been active contributors to the Dallas community for more than thirty years

In 1980, Hal served as the only outside advisor for the launch of American Airlines’ AAdvantage program. Later he served as Vice President of Pan American World Airways, where he launched the first global frequent traveler program, and Senior Vice President of Marketing for Continental Airlines.

In 1999, he founded e-Rewards, today, the world’s largest online market research panel providing survey respondents for over 2,500 research firms, with over 1 million members in 36 countries completing surveys each month.

Hal is an active supporter of numerous Dallas organizations, including the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, the Dallas Symphony, North Texas Public Broadcasting, and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Foundation.

Nationally, he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Smithsonian National Zoo, theDean’s Advisory Board at Harvard Business School, the Board of the NPR Foundation, the Board of The Better Angels Society (supporting Ken Burns), the International Board of Advisors of the National Geographic Society, and Young Presidents Organization.

Hal is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BS in Chemical Engineering and Harvard Business School where he graduated as a Baker Scholar with High Honors.
